Synopsis

All vacation-bound family man Chet Ripley (John Candy) wants is to relax and spend some quality time with his family. But when his obnoxious brother-in-law Roman Craig (Dan Aykroyd) shows up unannounced and uninvited with his kooky family in tow, the result is anything but restful. It’s a vacationer’s worst nightmare when each of Chet’s plans for rest and relaxation is ruined by his oblivious in-law. And when Roman’s clan outstays its welcome and pushes Chet to the limit of his patience, the war is on to see who is best equipped to enjoy The Great Outdoor!
